architect Ferdinand Boberg (1860 - 1946) is described, the man
behind buildings such as the Post House, Rosenbad, NK department
store and Prince Eugene's palace at Waldemarsudde in Stockholm -
and Bjertorp Slott. At first, Boberg deems it absurd to think he
should preoccupy himself with a private home on the plain of Vara
and declines the offer. It is only when Knut Henrik Littorin and
