Inside the oak front door
We open the heavy oak gates that lead into the cloakroom.
Decorated in Swedish marble and with space for up to 200 coats, it
is not especially tight for the seven people intended to live
here….

We go up the stairs, past our Russian bear (legend has it that
Littorin killed the bear himself) and up into the foyer. This is
the heart of the castle from where we move ourselves out into the
different social lounges on the first floor. You will now find
yourself in Sweden's best maintained Jugend environments. All of
the heavier furniture is original, designed by Ferdinand Boberg,
who was not only an architect, but also a furniture designer. His
spirit is felt over the entire castle. So well, that every detail,
stucco, armature is his work. The foyer is made entirely of oak, as
is the wall panels and furniture. Look at the banister. Every rung
is carved from hand. So is the covering to the radiator.
